Coach with Herriman Baseball
Interested in coaching this spring? Complete the current coaching application. WBL requires all rostered head coaches and assistant coaches to complete and pass a background check. The league coordinates that process.

Plan the next practice
Start with the league’s shared materials, then choose a Baseball Positive practice plan for your players’ age and experience.
Teach the fundamentals
Use Baseball Positive’s instruction and drills for hitting, throwing, catching, fielding, and coordinated defense.
Keep every player involved
In Single A, every rostered player present bats in a continuous order. Defensive substitutions do not change the batting order. A player may sit for no more than two defensive innings in a game. WBL recommends avoiding consecutive bench innings.
AAA teams may use a continuous batting order or bat nine under NFHS substitution rules. Defensive playing time is at the head coach’s discretion, although WBL encourages the Single A participation approach.
Player safety and sportsmanship
Track pitch counts and required rest. Review the current equipment rules and make sure players, coaches, and families understand the league’s conduct expectations.
Make a difference from the dugout.
Volunteer coaches help players learn skills, build confidence, and enjoy baseball. Use the Spring 2027 coaching application to express your interest.
